Testing too. This plugin has reduced my spam count from a possible thousands to maybe 4 or 5 a day. Don't tell anyone else though or the spammers will adapt as it's easy to get around the protection it gives.

It'll kill all the script kiddies attempts dead though :)

Just testing here, seeing how the new plug-in works to reduce comment spam for me. I'm crossing my fingers this doesn't make commenting too much of a hassle for readers. Stay tuned!

Hi, Buster,

My hat is OFF to you for a wildly original new direction for this discussion. So ...:

* Do vampires avoid municipal sewer systems so they don't contaminate those who process the waste? Can't imagine the ghouls' blood would be tasty if they're mistaken for food. Or do the vampires not give a shit?

* Or do they use outhouses that are -- their GREAT annoyance -- constantly being broken into because burglars mistake safety precautions (designed to protect humans from becoming ghouls) as security measures to protect valuables? Poor burglars, heh-heh.

* Why would the poop be rotten if the vamp fed recently from the living?

* And what moves the poop through the digestive system, or is the vamp full of (never mind)?

* And why would the ghouls crave human scat instead of vampire guano?

If pica is the real medical condition of wildly craving and eating non-food substances, then would puzzled docs call the ghouls' condition pica-poo? (Fun to say, anyway.)

And would the ghouls work in daycare, aka diaper central? Because they would get FAT!

And ghouls' dentists would have to be paid more than the wildest dreams of avarice.

Yeah, now I'm grossing MYSELF out. ;o)

Vampires do poop, but because they only consume blood, their feces is a semi-solid lump of necrotic specimen. Now this in and of it itself is not bad, but if any non-vampires come in to contact with this blood-shit, they are most often turned into a Fecal-Ghoul. Craving only human crap. Weird, I know, but Fecal-Ghouls (or Shit-Eaters) do exist and there you have it.

Elizabeth, you're so in luck! I had 132 credits left over, and the slackers at Entrecard haven't yet canceled my membership even though I asked them to a while back. Just sent them to you. Thanks for signing up! :o)

Hi, Amanda,

Thanks for the link! Oh, man, your list made me think of some more of my own that I use, especially the "I'll just read a while" one.

My latest excuse: "I need a place to work." Working on overcoming that one!

Best wishes to you for finding time and ways to get those words on the page. :o)

Hi, Jamie,
I hear ya -- balance is a problem here too. :o/ And I've been sick and sleepy a lot lately, letting my writing slide. Hmm, that may be my next "oops" post.

You have such a good attitude!

Hi, Steph,
We sound like we're pulling similar loads. :o) For me, I don't know whether it's too many bad habits, not enough good habits, laziness, trying to do too much, failure to prioritize, or fear of crappy writing. I'm hoping a new approach helps me shoo the excuses out of my head.

Let me know what happens with your steps -- you make a great point about staying on track at work!
